| What can we do to encourage more stakeholder (ie, landowners, attorneys, energy companies) participation??

| This is one of those rare programs where land owner interest generates more interest by word of mouth, paying attention to press releases, and the personal need for information when they are contacted by an interested party. I think the Gas team is doing a great job at getting the word out about programs, sites like this to continue the dialogue, and other publications (PFB for example) that have helped communicate on the issues. This, like other programs will have a peak interest point, then begin to decline. That's when we move on to the next critical area of need related to this topic, or the next unrelated topic or emerging issue impacting the lives of citizens.

| Thanks to all who post in this forum. Two weeks ago I was approached by a landman and he was looking to lease my land and my neighbors, offered $40 an acre and 1/8th royalties on a 5 yr lease. My neighbor is Amish and I knew little or nothing about this gas well thing other than since I purchased the farm in 91, I have been approached for a lease at $1 and the most recent was several years ago we got $7 and they dropped the lease after one yr. Awestruck by this huge offer I went into search and found this forum, the posts I've read have educated me, and I got a group of locals together, a little knowlege and the power of a group and we're currently considering the offer of $100,15.625%,3yrs,Drilling Fee $5,000 per well. I have let several members of the group know and I doubt if the gas Co. will go any higher till they see results from a well in Jefferson County. But most importantly I can't thank you all enough for your posts and info obtained.
