I can't figure out why there is little info on what is going on in Pike County, PA. So far I know of 8 property owners who have been approached - - north of I-84.

It is peculiar that there are so many different maps of the Marcellus Shale. The Wikipedia map shows the thickest part of the Marcellus Shale below the extreme Northeast of PA.

One thing I have noticed about the part of Pike I am in--Lackawaxen area--is that there are a whole bunch of really small lots with individual owners. That would be kind of offputting to me if I were a gas co. Also gas prices have backed off lately.

Also, could you post a link to the Wikipedia map? Thanks.

If you are interested, Cabot O&G is interested in SOME parts of Pike.
IN particular north of the Lackawaxen River. Offering more $$/acre and a lower lease period than Chesapeake which has for now withdrawn from Pike
